Inter earned less money than all their Serie A rivals from this season’s UEFA Champions League, a report in the Italian media revealed today.

Calcio e Finanza explained that the Nerazzurri, Juventus, Atalanta and Lazio gained a combined total of €192.2 million from their participation in the tournament, not including revenue from UEFA’s market pool.

Inter brought in just €37.8 million after Antonio Conte’s side finished bottom of their group below Real Madrid, Borussia Monchengladbach and Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Nerazzurri missed out on €9.5 million by failing to qualify for the knockout phase, receiving just €5.5 million in terms of results-related bonuses.

Inter took almost half their revenue for the 2020-21 edition from their historic ranking, which secured them €17.7 million (the second-highest figure in Serie A behind Juventus).

Juventus earned €68.6 million in total from this year’s competition, with Lazio taking €45.7 million and Atalanta winning €40.1 million.

Inter’s fellow Italian teams were all eliminated in the last 16.
