Lazio’s deal for Arsenal left back Nuno Tavares gives Inter an open door for Hellas Verona full back Juan Cabal, reports highlight.
The Nerazzurri are on the hunt for a new left-footed defender after Tajon Buchanan suffered a broken tibia whilst away at the Copa America with Canada, ruling him out for at least four months, leaving a gap in Simone Inzaghi’s squad.
Cabal has impressed over the last two seasons with Hellas Verona and was being targeted by Lazio, who decided to switch focus to Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares, setting up a deal worth around €6m for the Portuguese full back.
Verona newspaper L’Arena via Calciomercato.com details how Inter now have an open door for Hellas Verona’s Cabal following Lazio’s decision to sign Nuno Tavares from Arsenal.
Gialloblu director Sean Sogliano is now waiting to hear from his Nerazzurri counterpart Piero Ausilio to start discussing a possible deal, which could be in the region of €8-10m total.
