Inter Forward Joaquin Correa: “I’m Proud To Play For Inter, Debut Against Verona One Of The Best Moments Of My Career”

Inter forward Joaquin Correa is glad to be at the Nerazzurri, and considers playing for the club to be a point of pride.

Speaking in the official match program for Inter’s Champions League clash with Sheriff Tiraspol tomorrow, the Argentine opened up about how his debut for the club was one of the most special moments in his career so far.

Correa joined Inter from Lazio during the summer transfer window, following former Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi to the club.

His impact was immediate, as he came off the bench against Hellas Verona only one day after his signing was officially announced and scored two goals to hand his team an important win.

Things have not gone quite as smoothly for the 26-year-old since that match, but he has still started to settle in, and he is happy to be playing for the club and working towards making even more of an impact.

“Among the best moments I have experienced in my career, I cannot fail to mention my debut in this new shirt,” he said. “Sometimes you can only dream of the perfect way to introduce yourself to your new fans and I was lucky enough to experience it in the match against Verona – a brace, comeback and victory to kick off my adventure with the Nerazzurri.”

He went on, “Football is my life, being at Inter is a matter pride that I want to continue to deserve. Argentines have been great players here and I bring something from everyone, in terms of what they’ve taught me.”
