Inter favourite says one deal is on – and one is off | OneFootball

Chelsea have spent the last couple of summers locked into transfer talks with Inter Milan one way or another, and so we’ve found ourselves referencing the excellent SempreInter consistently.

Today they’ve got translated quotes from Inter legend Beppe Bergomi, who was on the radio in Italy talking about this old team’s summer.

He insisted that Lukaku is “perfect” for Serie A, and that he is “pro-Lukaku.”

According to him, that deal is happening – and it’s a good one for Inter.

The news on Milan Skriniar is less good.  Bergomi says he has the Inter crest “tattooed on his chest.” That sounds bad for Chelsea’s chances of signing him, that’s for sure.

He never felt like much of a realistic target for us, to be honest, despite his obvious quality, and our need of defenders. As we’ve seen with Lukaku, there’s always next year…

Still, this is just one man’s opinion – and in the end, money talks – especially in football.
