Inter Face Challenge From Newcastle & Atletico Madrid For Gladbach Forward Marcus Thuram, German Media Report | OneFootball

Inter’s hopes of signing Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram are under threat, as a host of clubs have shown an interest in the France international.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of German outlet Bild, the former Guingamp attacker has drawn interest from across Europe as he approaches the final months of his contract, having made it clear that he was not willing to sign new terms with Gladbach.

Being available as a free agent in the summer, Thuram has appeared on the radars of Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Aston Villa, whilst Borussia Dortmund would also like to keep him in the Bundesliga.

Inter have shown a long-standing interest in the 25-year-old but also face the threat of interest from La Liga, with Atletico Madrid and Sevilla named as being suitors for the forward.

With the fear of losing out growing, Inter are working to convince Thuram to accept a move in January as they meet Gladbach’s €10 million asking price, but the player is in no rush to make a decision.
