Inter eye Ederson deal with Atalanta if Calhanoglu leaves for Galatasaray | OneFootball

Reports on Thursday evening claim that Inter are among the clubs interested in signing Brazilian midfielder Ederson from Atalanta this summer, particularly if Hakan Calhanoglu leaves to join Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Calhanoglu has been linked with a move to join Galatasaray this summer, although, as things stand, Inter have not yet received any formal offers for the Turkiye international.

The 31-year-old still has another two years on his Nerazzurri contract, which runs until the summer of 2027, and consequently, Inter will only entertain offers in the region of €40m for a player who has played a crucial role in midfield over the last three seasons.

Atalanta’s Ederson among potential Calhanoglu replacements for Inter

The Nerazzurri have been linked with a move for Italy international Nicolo Rovella from Lazio in the event that Calhanoglu leaves this summer, however, Calciomercato.com claims that Atalanta’s Ederson is also among the potential options for Cristian Chivu’s side.

Ederson has been subject of interest from a number of clubs from multiple continents over the course of the 2024-25 season. Both Manchester City and United were among them: City have since landed Tijjani Reijnders from Milan, on top of their signing of Nico Gonzalez in January, while United have not yet made any formal approaches for Ederson.

Calciomercato claims that Simone Inzaghi and Al-Hilal are also keen on signing the Brazilian this summer, as are his former side Inter, and rivals Juventus.

Like Calhanoglu, Ederson is also under contract for another two years, with a deal running until the summer of 2027 with Atalanta.

La Dea, like Inter and Calhanoglu, also know that Ederson has been a key player in midfield under Gian Piero Gasperini, and with his contract not expiring this summer, they are also unlikely to accept any lowball offers.

Thursday’s reports claim that Atalanta will seek a fee in the region of €60m if Ederson is to be sold this summer.
