Inter wingback Raoul Bellanova and striker Andrea Pinamonti are among the players who Italian national team head coach Roberto Mancini wants to build the future Azzurri squad around.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that Mancini wants to reinvigorate Italy’s squad with youth and that the Nerazzurri duo are among the players he has in mind.
Bellanova has just arrived at Inter, whilst Pinamonti appears to be on his way out with Sassuolo having looked to have won the race for the 23-year-old’s signature.
The duo’s situations show that like many top Italian clubs, Inter keep an eye on young Italian talent to build around, and both are players who former Inter, Galatasaray, and Manchester City coach Mancini will be keeping an eye on.
The coach has already shown a willingness to give young players a chance with former Inter youth player and FC Zurich forward Wilfried Gnonto having been given a chance as the coach looks to freshen things up following the disappointment of missing out on the World Cup.
