Inter defender set to seal summer exit

Inter defender Valentino Lazaro is now close to a sealing an exit to Benfica this summer.

Daniele Longo has reported that Inter are nearing the sale of Lazaro and a meeting is scheduled today between the player and his agent to decide about a move to Benfica. The Austian is slowly warming to the idea of joining Benfica this summer.

Benfica want to sign him on an initial loan deal with the obligation to buy him permanently for around €9 million and Inter’s decision will depend on Lazaro’s wishes. They are waiting for his call and the player’s decision will arrive later in the evening.

Lazaro wanted to join a Bundesliga club initially and was offered to Borussia Dortmund but the move never materialised.
