Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio will be out due to injury for two more weeks yet, according to an Italian newspaper report today.

As per Tuttosport, D’Ambrosio trained for the first time in a few weeks yesterday as Inter carried out a recovery session following the goalless draw against Udinese.

The versatile Italian defender is currently the only player on Antonio Conte’s injury list at Inter and he is continuing to work on recovering, and it is said that Inter do not want to rush things and risk further injury given the size of the squad.

The 32-year-old picked up an injury to his medial collateral ligament in one of his knees in the 2-1 loss to Sampdoria on January 6.

He has missed Inter’s last four matches and going by this report, he will miss a few more games yet.

This season D’Ambrosio as made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals.
