Inter are unlikely to spend big in their quest for a new left-sided wing-back, a report in the Italian media warned today.

Il Giorno’s print edition said the Nerazzurri’s well-documented financial difficulties would prevent them from splashing the cash on an upgrade for Antonio Conte.

Ashley Young is expected to leave Inter and return to the Premier League, while Dalbert is due to return from a loan spell at Rennes but will not stay at the club.

Federico Dimarco could be the best solution for the Nerazzurri at left wing-back, the report suggested, although Hellas Verona will be in charge of deciding his future.

The Gialloblu signed Dimarco on a season-long loan last summer and now have an option to make his move permanent for €6 million.

If the 23-year-old is not snapped up permanently, it’s possible that Inter could give him another try under Conte after another impressive season from Dimarco under Ivan Juric.

This report comes contrary to a story from FcInter1908.it last night, which said Dimarco was no longer part of Inter’s future plans.
