Inter could move to sign Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic on loan this summer if Lautaro Martinez isn’t sold.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 24-year-old would be a more affordable option than the priority options in attack if the team do not raise cash with the sale of Martinez.

An out-and-out Number Nine is one of the profiles most sought by the Nerazzurri in the summer transfer window, with the club aiming to bring in a player who can succeed Edin Dzeko going forward.

Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca remains the priority in this sense, but Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram is also of interest.

However, a move for a player like Scamacca could be financially difficult if Martinez is not sold for a significant fee, in which case the Nerazzurri could look to a more inexpensive option.

Jovic is under contract with Real until the end of June 2025 and the Merengues value him at around €25-30 million, but given that the Serb is out of favour in the Spanish capital they could be persuaded on a loan deal or another accommodating formula for Inter.
