Inter could be tempted to end Arturo Vidal’s time at the club at the end of the season by paying him a lump sum, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, the Chilean midfielder will not be out of contract with the Nerazzurri until the end of the next season but he is earning over €7 million each year.

This is money that Inter would much rather put into new players that can be more prominent in the team than the Chilean midfielder.

If Inter pays him a fee of €4 million at the end of the recurrent campaign it can break the contract and he would become a free agent.

That would allow Inter more scope as they try to bring in the likes of Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo or Paulo Dybala on a free contract from Juventus, who would need a big salary.
