Inter Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello feels that there is complete agreement of purpose between Inter and AC Milan regarding the new stadium project in Milan.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the Nerazzurri executive reaffirmed the shared commitment between the two clubs, and also made clear their intention that if they cannot build the structure in place of the existing San Siro, they will look to build it elsewhere.

Inter and Milan have shared the San Siro for decades, so it is only natural that continuing to share a stadium would continue to be on the table even as the clubs seek to construct a new stadium to keep up at the top level of European football.

However, this is hardly to be taken for granted, and the possibility of the two clubs could part ways on the matter, particularly if there are disagreements on the details of the new stadium project, has also been raised.

However, when asked if he feels that the clubs are unified on the matter, Antonello replied “Yes, absolutely. Today we’re here to start the public debate on the matter, and if we are unable to move forward with the project as planned then we will build elsewhere.”
