Inter are considering a move for Napoli goalkeeper David Ospina this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Naples-based newspaper Il Mattino, who report that the former Arsenal and Nice shot-stopper could arrive as a deputy for current Number One Samur Handanovic, or to replace the Slovenian on a long-term basis.

Ospina is thought to be for sale at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, with the Partenopei considering offloading the 32-year-old in order to hand the starting spot to Alex Meret.

The Colombian would be available for around €7 million, and the Nerazzurri are seriously considering a move for him as an affordable option in a position which they are seriously considering the future of.

A number of names have emerged as targets in the club’s search for a deputy and successor to Handanovic with the current first-choice keeper 37 and his contract set to expire at the end of the summer of 2022 without a renewal on the horizon.

Ospina could join the list, with the club viewing him as an affordable and dependable pair of hands to take over from the Slovenian in the short term.
