With Marcus Thuram almost certainly out of the Supercoppa Italiana Final against Milan, there are reports Inter are ready to start Joaquin Correa rather than Mehdi Taremi.

It kicks off at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh on Monday at 19.00 GMT.

Thuram limped off at half-time during the 2-0 semi-final victory over Atalanta and has been diagnosed with a slight elongation of the adductor in his left thigh.

Although it is not a serious injury, coach Simone Inzaghi is extremely unlikely to risk Thuram when there is such a packed fixture list coming up in Serie A, the Champions League and Coppa Italia.

Lautaro Martinez is due to start, but while Taremi came on for the second half against Atalanta, there are reports of a change of plan for the Derby della Madonnina.

According to Calciomercato.com, all signs in Riyadh point towards Correa getting the nod instead.

The 30-year-old has made only five appearances this season in Serie A, yet still made his mark with one goal and two assists.

All of those were during a 5-0 victory away to Hellas Verona on November 24 and he only made one 20-minute appearance since then, against Parma on December 6.
