Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is ready to count on Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa as his backup attackers next season and does not feel that he’ll be made to regret the club’s failure to sign Paulo Dybala.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri coach feels that the duo will be ready to make significant contributions despite having shown little in preseason.

Inter will go into next season with a fairly clear hierarchy in attack, with Lautaro Martinez and the returning Romelu Lukaku as the first-choice partnership and then Dzeko and Correa behind them in the pecking order.

However, both forwards should see plenty of action given the need for extensive squad rotation over what promises to be a gruelling and densely packed fixture schedule.

Inzaghi is happy to have kept both of the pair who were signed last summer, and feels that they can give quality in attack when Lukaku or Martinez need a rest, so much so that he is not thinking about missing out on Dybala as hurting the preparations for the season.
