Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is set to make some changes to his team’s starting eleven in tomorrow evening’s Serie A clash with Cremonese, and could include one or two surprise selections.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu should return to the lineup, whilst the likes of Danilo D’Ambrosio, Robin Gosens, Federico Dimarco, and Andre Onana are in contention for a start.

Inzaghi is mindful of the need to rotate his team across what is already a very busy fixture schedule early in the season, and so he is looking at a number of possibilities as he aims to get the best out of his entire squad.

Calhanoglu should start after having been left out in favour of Roberto Gaglardini in Friday’s loss to Lazio, whilst Gosens is also expected to return to the starting eleven.

Meanwhile, Dimarco could be handed another start after having already featured prominently in the team over the first three matches of the season, and D’Ambrosio could be relied on in the backline to give one of the starting defenders a rest.

The injury to Romelu Lukaku means that Inzaghi will select one of his backup strikers to lead the line alongside Romelu Lukaku, whilst in goal Onana could be given a chance to show what he can do after captain Samir Handnovic had been favoured across the first three matches.
