Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has made very clear that he wants the door closed to a sale of Milan Skriniar, whilst he wants the club to finish the transfer window by signing a backup option to Stefan de Vrij.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the coach has a clear idea of how he wants the team to wrap up their transfer window, and it does not involve any possible sale of Skriniar.

Skriniar remains linked with transfer rumours involving Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, but Inzaghi considers the Slovakian to be too important to depart at this stage of the transfer window and considers him to be off-limits.

Rather, the coach is hoping that one more arrival can come in defense, with a player capable of backing up Stefan de Vrij at the heart of the backline the missing piece for the squad for the season.
