In the absence of Achraf Hakimi, Inter coach Antonio Conte will turn to Matteo Darmian at right wing-back for the Serie A match against Genoa tomorrow.

League leaders Inter look to move another step closer to a first Scudetto since 2010 when they welcome the Grifone to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, as they sit four points clear of AC Milan.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Darmian has beaten former Manchester United teammate Ashley Young in the race to deputise for Hakimi, who serves a one match suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards.

Darmian, on loan from Parma, will take to the field on the right wing as Inter look to inflict a first league defeat on Genoa in seven matches, although the clash has come too soon for Stefano Sensi.

The Italian midfielder has almost completed his comeback from injury but is not expected to be included in the squad tomorrow, with next weekend’s trip to Parma considered more likely.
