Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has turned down a possible exchange deal with Juventus for Edin Dzeko and Juan Cuadrado to swap clubs, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera today, the agent of Juan Cuadrado and Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri tried to strike a deal with Inter to swap the two veteran players.

It is known that the Bianconeri are interested in Edin Dzeko as they want more backup to Dusan Vlahovic and there have been minor links between Inter and Juan Cuadrado in the past.

Beppe Marotta has shut down the deal as he does not see the Colombian wingback as being part of the Nerazzurri’s plans next season with Raoul Bellanova set to arrive and Denzel Dumfries and Matteo Darmian also being in the squad.

Romelu Lukaku’s arrival has increased the chance of Inter selling Edin Dzeko this summer to save money on wages.
