Inter CEO will not be returning to Juventus to join the club’s new board of directors when they decide upon the new board in January.

This according to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, who report that despite rumours that Marotta as well as Bianconeri legend Alessandro Del Piero are among the candidates to be on the new board, there is little chance of this in reality.

Juventus will hold a meeting on January 18 to decide upon a new board of directors.

The resignation en masse of virtually the entire previous board amid legal troubles means that the club will have the task before them of electing an entire new board to run things.

Marotta has been one name persistently linked in rumours, considering that the Nerazzurri CEO had previously spent nearly a decade as the General Manager of Sport at the Bianconeri.

In addition to the Inter CEO, legendary former forward Del Piero’s name has also been linked, considering his long association with Juventus.

However, according to Tuttosport, the priority for the new board will be to appoint specialists in administrative law, auditing financial statements, and tax law.

The Bianconeri’s ongoing legal issues means that the task of the new board will be to deal with the upcoming challenges related to legal and financial matters.

Accordingly, figures with experience more within the world of football such as Marotta and Del Piero will not be among those in consideration, according to Tuttosport.
