Marotta, Sporting Director Piero Ausilio, Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin, and Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello have been widely expected to renew their deals past the end of June when they currently expire.

The quartet have been foundational to the Nerazzurri’s recent successes, and with President Steven Zhang in Milan they have been working to get the agreement wrapped up.

Zhang is fully happy to keep the quartet on as he is happy with the way that they have managed the club, and the new deals should be completed soon.

“The agreement has already been reached,” Marotta confirmed, “but I think it is proper for the club to make it official at the right time. We’re already happy to stay on at one of the greatest clubs in world football.”

Of the Nerazzurri’s links to Juventus forward Paulo Dybala on a free transfer in the summer, Marotta stated that “When a player of tDybala’s calibre approaches the end of his contract it is normal that big clubs like Inter will be interested.”

“But we have four excellent forwards and I would say that we’re doing fine in those position,” he added.

“But every club has ambitions,” he went on, “part of out model is that is that we pay attention to the developments in the market.”

The CEO explained that “An attempt must be made with everyone, but at the moment we are satisfied and we respect the forwards we already have who are doing the job for us. Inzaghi is happy as well.”

“I would say that we now have more of an aura of victory,” Marotta explained, “the fact that we have now won the Scudetto and the Supercoppa, and made a Europa League final, created more of a sense that we know how to experience the strong emotions of victory and also changed how we’re perceived by top players around Europe.”

“Now players are very eager to come here,” he continued. “This helps us to keep improving the quality of our squad, which is already very high.”

Of winning the Supercoppa Italiana, he said that “It was very gratifying for us, a source of immense joy for the club and the fans.”

“But a great team must know how to put the celebrations of a trophy behind the, and concentrate on tonight’s match which is crucial for a competition that is very important for us.”

He also spoke about Alexis Sanchez’s recent comments, stating that “We know him, we’re familiar with his way of communicating. The important thing is that he understands the instructions from his coach and what the team needs on the pitch.”
