Inter CEO Beppe Marotta: “I Am Convinced We Will Recover After The Break” | OneFootball

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has said that he is convinced Inter will be back to their best after the international break has finished, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during the dinner hosted by former Inter president Ernesto Pellegrini to celebrate the 1991 UEFA Cup win, via FCInternews, the Inter CEO addressed concerns around the current form of the team which has dipped and sees them further from the top of Serie A than was planned.

He made reference to the fact that the team were in a very similar position at this stage during the season where Antonio Conte won the Serie A title, and for that reason he is confident that things will be better when the action starts again next weekend.

“Look at the fact that today Inter have the same points they had in the year of the Scudetto with Conte, and after seven matches they have scored three more goals and conceded 11 as they did then, so I am convinced that after the break we will recover.”

Inter will have a very tough restart as they will be facing AS Roma in Serie A followed by Barcelona in the Champions League.
