Inter CEO Beppe Marotta Aiming To Keep Lautaro Martinez By Selling Young Players Like Pinamonti & Pirola, Italian Media Report
Inter CEO Beppe Marotta believes that he can keep hold of striker Romelu Lukaku by bringing in transfer revenue from the sales of young players like Andrea Pinamonti and Lorenzo Pirola.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the executive is aiming for around €30 million from the sales of Pinamonti and Pirola and that he may not stop there.
Pinamonti is valued at around €20 million by the Nerazzurri following his impressive loan spell with Empoli during the season just gone, and there is no shortage of interest to drive the 23-year-old’s value at least this high.
Meanwhile, Pirola is a major target for Salernitana, who could be prepared to meet the Nerazzurri’s asking price of €8 million for the defender.
Elsewhere in the squad, midfielder Lucien Agoume and defender Zinho Vanheusden are not unsellable, and in Agoume’s case the asking price would once again be around €8 million.
Even looking into the future, Marotta is well aware of the potential value that Inter have at their disposal in the form of young players should they complete sales.
