Inter can only afford to sign Chelsea full back Marcos Alonso on a loan deal, which could be more likely after the relationship breakdown between player and coach, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how the 29-year-old Spaniard’s relationship with Blues coach Frank Lampard has entirely deteriorated now, after the player went directly to the coach after being brought off at half time in the London club’s game against West Brom last Saturday.
This could help the Nerazzurri’s position, the report continues, as the Milanese club cannot afford to sign the player outright, and would only be able to secure his signature in a loan deal.
The idea has always been rejected by Chelsea, but that could change as the club look to offload Alonso before the closure of the transfer window next week.
The Milanese club have been unable to spend too heavily this summer, due to the financial climate.
