Inter Butting Heads With Borussia Dortmund Over Manuel Akanji Whilst Nerazzurri Still Skeptical Over Lazio’s Francesco Acerbi, Italian Media Report | OneFootball

Inter are battling with Borussia Dortmund over the price of Manuel Akanji and there is scepticism over whether a move for Francesco Acerbi should be pursued or not, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri are not able to pay the €20 million asking price that Borussia Dortmund have set for Manuel Akanji.

They have also excluded the prospect of Inter taking him on loan after a contract extension. His current deal is set to expire in one year.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has decided that he will wait until closer to the end of the market to see if the German side will lower their asking price, given the player is completely frozen out of their plans under Edin Terzic.

As for the Francesco Acerbi deal, there is scepticism amongst the Inter hierarchy given the Lazio defender is the same age as Andrea Ranocchia.
