Inter boss Simone Inzaghi has once again launched into a tirade about the officiating that his side have witnessed this season, referencing the derby against AC Milan.
As a reminder, Inzaghi first spoke out about what he perceived to be a decision in Milan’s favour after the Supercoppa Italiana final that the Rossoneri won. He stated after the game that Alvaro Morata had committed a foul in the build-up to the goal that made it 2-1.
Then, the Inter coach made it clear after the derby earlier this month that he believes the Nerazzurri were denied an obvious penalty in the second half. He was referring to when Marcus Thuram went down under a challenge from Strahinja Pavlovic and Theo Hernandez.
Inzaghi spoke at a press conference on the eve of Juventus-Inter and he was once again asked about the controversy involving referees and his previous strong thoughts.
“I just said that I got angry after the match against Milan, because after 4-5 incidents we are all human and I only got angry because I was thinking about my Inter. When something happens to Inter, it is almost not talked about, I raised the alarm and we had the testimony on Monday,” he said (via MilanPress).
“I spoke about it after Milan , today people are still talking about the corner awarded: the ball was out, but an episode from Leverkusen comes to mind, with a corner against in the 90th minute with the opposing player one metre offside.

“We lost the match on that corner and nothing was said, even if it forced us to play the last match to win for the top eight and it caused us serious damage in the standings, because maybe we would have even finished second, as well as financially.
“Mine was a general alarm: when something happens at Inter, it is talked about for days, when it happens against them, it is almost not talked about. This was my only thought, without talking about referees, coaches or anything else: there will always be mistakes, we all make them. I just wanted to defend my work.”
