Antonio Conte has called on Suning to provide ‘clarity’ over the club’s ongoing problems at the end of the season.

Inter took another small step towards the Serie A title tonight as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Spezia, moving them 10 points clear of AC Milan with six games left.

Conte’s post-match press conference also brought him a question about his future though, which remains uncertain due to Inter’s financial and corporate issues.

Asked if he could see himself remaining at the club long-term, Conte replied: “Like I’ve always said, we need to work and focus on the present, because that’s what we can affect.

“It would be pointless to hide it, there have been lots of issues at the club this year, problems which have changed for many reasons…

“It’s inevitable that we will have to provide clarity at the end of the season, because I believe the fans deserve that.”

Inter were forced to settle for a point at the Stadio Alberto Picco after a frustrating evening, which saw Ivan Perisic cancel out Diego Farias’ early opener during the first half.

Conte admitted it was inevitable his players were beginning to feel the pressure as the finish line came into sight, especially with so few Inter players having won a major trophy before.

“We’d all have signed up to be in this position at this stage of the season,” he argued.

“It’s disappointing not to win today because we’d have deserved to given what happened during the match.

“We had a lot of chances and we could have had more quality up front, but I understand that the ball is starting to weigh a little heavier.

“I’ve complimented the guys because we haven’t underestimated anyone and a great team is always a humble team.

“That’s the foundation for great victories.”

Inter are back in Serie A action on Sunday when they welcome Hellas Verona to San Siro.
