Inter Attacker Lautaro Martinez: “Antonio Conte Is A Great Coach” | OneFootball

Inter’s Argentinian international attacker Lautaro Martinez told Inter TV after the friendly match win against Valencia, that the performance was a step in the right direction for the team to be ready when the Serie A starts in a fortnight.

“The first half was a bit complicated for us, then in the second half we managed to control the ball much better and we improved.”

“In the end we won on penalties and winning is always important even though it matters much more that we begin the Serie A well. To prepare well for the match against Lecce which we play at home in front of our crowd, that is all that matters.”

The former Racing Avellanada player was full of praise when asked about his impressions of new coach Antonio Conte.

“Before returning to train I had already spoken with Conte, he is a great coach who wants the strikers to play close to each other to create a lot of chances.”

“The next few weeks are fundamental for us to take on and learn his mechanisms. We are working very hard at the minute, this team is prepared to give everything, we know that we can do better but we have an important squad and we will be ready when the Serie A begins.”
