Inter and Atalanta’s requests for their first Serie A game of the 2020/21 to be postponed have been approved according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Both clubs requested the postponement of their first fixture of the season in order to be able to have a longer rest period following the end of the 2019/20 season, which spanned nearly an entire calendar year for both clubs given their progression in European competition which saw them both play into the middle of August.
