Inter Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin is set to travel to the World Cup in Qatar to take over the scouting work of Sporting Director Piero Ausilio who is headed back to Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that Ausilio will return to Milan tomorrow, with Baccin replacing him so that the club continues to have a presence at the World Cup.

Ausilio has been in Qatar for the World Cup, where the Nerazzurri Sporting Director has been keeping an eye on the players in Inter’s squad who have been in action, as well as scouting various transfer targets.

The executive has also met with counterparts from other clubs around Europe regarding possible transfer talk.

Ausilio is set to travel back to Milan, however, with Baccin the one who will be watching Inter players and targets in his place.
