Inter are annoyed that they have not yet received a response from Ivan Perisic to their contract offer made in yesterday’s meeting, and that he appears to be in no hurry.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are aiming to get the matter settled soon and expect a response by the end of the weekend.

Inter and Perisic sat down for a decisive round of talks yesterday, with the club having upped their offer in the hopes of convincing the 33-year-old to remain at the club amid links to Juventus and the Premier League on a free transfer.

There appeared to be positive signs in the meeting, but the player has not yet made his decision and the club are left to wait.

The Nerazzurri are hoping that they will have to wait much longer as they aim to have clarity on Perisic’s situation in making their plans for the summer transfer window.
