Inter could pick up another free agent this season, as defender Oumar Solet has terminated his contract with RB Salzburg by mutual consent.
The 24-year-old had already been heavily linked with a potential move to the Nerazzurri over the summer, but no deal could be done.
He was also in talks with Napoli, Roma and Milan.
With his contract set to expire in June 2025, it was announced today that he has reached an agreement with RB Salzburg to terminate it early by mutual consent.
As a free agent, Solet is now able to sign for any club past the transfer deadline.
Although Inter have already picked up Tomas Palacios for the defence, they could always make room for another promising player.
The Frenchman is a product of the Stade Lavallois academy, moving to Olympique Lyonnais in January 2018 and sold to RB Salzburg for €4.5m in 2020.
Inter have barely spent any transfer fees in recent years, focusing on free agents under first CEO and now President Beppe Marotta.
This summer alone they snapped up Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi.
