After several weeks of maintaining contact, Inter are heading into the final stages of negotiations in their pursuit of Canadian star Tajon Buchanan.
For several months, the Nerazzurri have been monitoring the 2022 World Cup break-out star as a potential option on the right flank. However, the long-term injury of former Juventus wing-back Juan Cuadrado has pushed the Beneamata to move swiftly, intensifying talks between the Buchanan and his representatives, as well as the Belgian outfits.
Journalist Fabrizio Biasin reports, via FcInter1908, that both coach Simone Inzaghi’s side and Buchanan have reached a personal agreement regarding a five-year contract. However, Brugge are requesting a transfer fee of €10m plus add-ons, whilst Inter were considering a figure less than the evaluation of the Belgian side.
Despite both sides currently separated by thin margins regarding the evaluation of the player, both clubs are set to have another meeting and an agreement is expected to be reached this week, which would permit Buchanan to head towards San Siro.
