Inter and AC Milan have asked for an answer on their new stadium by Christmas before they take their project to another area, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, the two clubs have given the authorities three months to make serious progress on the project. On Wednesday, the first of ten meetings planned for the public debate will take place.

If there is no quick movement after that, the project could be taken to the Falck area in Sesto San Giovanni instead.

A delay could be caused by the opposition during the public debate even though the clubs feel that they have done all they can to make it environmentally friendly.

The total expenditure for the clubs is expected to stay at around €1.2 billion after the price increase of the raw materials and they have 10 years to amortise everything.
