Manchester City are watching Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino.
The former Newcastle United prospect has played his way into the Spain squad as a La Real player.

Local journalist Kike Marin is reporting City are keen - and Merino is aware of their interest.
The Sky Blues are in the market for a new midfield addition as they seek a successor for captain Fernandinho and Merino is under consideration.
Indeed, Marin says City are prepared to offer €60m for the Spain international.
Merino has a deal with La Real to 2025.
