INSIDER: Liverpool serious about Thiago, but...

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool ARE serious about signing Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara.

However, he also revealed the Reds are yet to make a formal move for the wantaway Spain international.

He told The Beautiful Game Podcast: "At the moment, the player would like to join Liverpool. He would like something new and evolve in the Premier League.

"He refused to talk about a contract with Bayern Munich. For the moment, he wants to go to the Premier League. I have no information about Manchester United or other clubs. The only one really interested is Liverpool because the player would love to play with Jürgen Klopp.

"But Bayern Munich have not received any offers for Thiago.

"Thiago will be leaving Bayern Munich this summer, it's been confirmed, but for the moment there is no offer from Liverpool or any other club."
