Injury update provided on Barcelona star Jules Koundé | OneFootball

An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Jules Koundé has come to the fore online.

And the news will no doubt give rise to a collective sigh of relief across the fanbase of the Blaugrana.

Koundé, for his part, set alarm bells ringing across Catalunya’s capital late last night.

As much came owing to his exploits on the international stage, in France’s high-profile friendly meeting with Germany.

After the defender was hooked from proceedings at the Groupama Stadium with an hour on the clock, word stemming from the French media pointed towards Koundé having picked up an ankle injury.

Just weeks out from Barcelona’s crunch Champions League double-header with Paris Saint-Germain, panic therefore quickly began to set in behind the scenes at Koundé’s club.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest update on the wellbeing of the 25-year-old is anything to go by, then Barca, and the club’s supporters, need not fret.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of Telefoot’s Saber Desfarges that Koundé, in fact, has only suffered a ‘blow’, with no twisting of his ankle.

He is therefore expected to be back on the pitch in short order.
