ANTHONY JOSEPH has confirmed that Celtic will hold talks with Neil Lennon about his future following yesterday’s defeat to Ross County in the League Cup. The Sky Sports reporter revealed on Twitter that the Scottish Champions would be discussing the Irishman’s future today after the incredible 35 win run in domestic cup competitions was ended by the Highland side at Celtic Park.

This result and the subsequent scenes outside Celtic Park yesterday were easily avoidable but were attributed to a build up of frustration – with the product on the park and also the lack of fans in grounds. Hopefully there is a swift conclusion and Lennon is given the dues he is owed.

The board had backed the club legend to turn it around but after the defeat, coupled with the failures in Europe, they will likely decide for fresh approach.

With it looking increasingly likely that Lennon will leave the club, it is worth mentioning the ten league titles that he has won as a player and a manager, as well as the trophies. He is a man that loves Celtic Football Club and whilst many may disagree with his ability to manage the team, his commitment should never be questioned.
