Long have Manchester United been linked with a move for Adrien Rabiot, with their interest yet to materialise into a concrete deal.

Indeed, the Red Devils are still thought to be keen admirers of the France international, who’s been a mainstay in Didier Deschamps’ squad in recent years.

He came close to sealing an Old Trafford switch back in 2022 during the first transfer window of Erik ten Hag’s tenure. United were locked in talks with his agent – his mother, Veronique Rabiot – for a lengthy period before negotiations collapsed due to reported wage demands.

As such, he stayed put at Juventus, proceeding to pen a one-year contract extension in 2023 before leaving Turin as a free agent upon the culmination of the 2023/2024 campaign.

Now a free agent, Rabiot is hoping to pursue a new venture in England’s top division – so much so that he’s rebuffed approaches from clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

CaughtOffside claims the midfielder is being considered by United again as they look to bolster the midfield after a turbulent start to the season. It would, however, mean bypassing INEOS’ newly implemented regulations of signing exclusively younger players in order to build for the future, as Rabiot turns 30 next April.
