The Eintracht players were eager to take the positives from the win in Fürth but know there is still a lot of work to be done – both during and after the international break.

Head coach Oliver Glasner: “We took a lot of pressure off ourselves today. The boys fought hard. The first half was bad but we showed character again. That’s only possible when everyone puts their hearts and minds into it. We suffered a major setback in the 92nd minute and I’d say that 99 teams out of 100 don’t recover from that. That’s why I’m so proud of the team.”

Sebastian Rode: “It was a very hectic finale, a rollercoaster ride of emotions. When you concede the equaliser in the 90th minute you think you’ve lost two points, but we showed our character again and made it 2-1 through Filip [Kostic] and Rafa [Borré].”

Djibril Sow: “We played another very bad first half – we didn’t get into the game at all and were far too complicated when trying to play out from the back. In the second half it got better and better. In the end it was an away game with an incredibly emotional ending. The goal in injury time reflects the club tradition of never giving up, no matter how difficult the situation. To concede the equaliser in injury time and then make it 2-1 shows the incredible character of this team, as well as the willingness to give everything for this club.”
