Inaki Pena remains first choice for new Como goalkeeper | OneFootball

Over a week ago, Football Italia gave the exclusive of Como interest in Inaki Pena, and negotiations continue for the Barcelona goalkeeper, even if they have two alternatives as well.

The shot-stopper is down to the final months of his current contract at Camp Nou, which will expire in June 2026, so a sale is likely this summer.

Inaki Pena and Como both have other options

Como do need a new Number 1 and that was confirmed by coach Cesc Fabregas in a press conference this week, so now it’s just down to finding the right candidate.

Inaki Pena is in a hurry too, as he has other offers on the table, so a decision one way or another is expected very soon.

Como are looking at two other options for the role, but are continuing negotiations for the Barcelona man.

The 26-year-old came through the Barcelona youth academy and had a loan spell with Galatasaray in 2022, but otherwise has spent his whole career in the Blaugrana jersey.
