Besiktas are reportedly interested in signing both Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu after this season.

In recent weeks, Turkish club Besiktas have been monitoring Southampton star Paul Onuachu. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a big fan of the tall striker and has expressed his desire to bring him to Istanbul.

The latter is no stranger to Turkey, having enjoyed a brilliant scoring campaign there last season. Still, prizing him away from Southampton may be tough, currently.

First of all, I'm not saying Onuachu has exceeded expectations at St. Mary's. In fact, it's the opposite and the attacker has only recently managed to find some form.

Lastly, Onuachu is the only fit striker the Saints have and even he may now be determined to succeed at the club. To tackle this, Besiktas have come up with a great idea.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Besiktas are also eyeing a move for Onuachu's teammate Joe Aribo.

This is a shrewd tactic from the Turkish club to secure Onuachu's signature. Without a doubt, Aribo is one of the closest companions of the 30-year-old striker.

Both have played together for Nigeria and have shared the dressing room at Southampton. Thus, luring Aribo to come could play a big role in Onuachu's decision to join Besiktas.

Many times, players look at their teammates and compatriots while making a big career decision. Recently, new Southampton signing Albert Gronbaek also consulted his Denmark teammate Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg before joining.

Similarly, this could be the case with Onuachu and Aribo.

Talking about Southampton, the club wouldn't want to part ways with Aribo, at least. Still, they would prefer to negotiate for both exits if they fall to the Championship.
