Impressive Thomas Partey stat shows his importance to Arsenal | OneFootball

Arsenal have not lost in the league since April when Thomas Partey has been in the team, showing the midfielder’s importance to Mikel Arteta’s side.

Thomas Partey might come in for a bit of stick from Arsenal fans over his shooting, but when Partey plays, Arsenal lose a lot less than when he doesn’t.

The last time Partey tasted Premier League defeat in an Arsenal shirt was against Everton in April, when the Gunners went down 1-0 at home to a Bernd Leno own goal.

Partey has featured seven times for Arsenal in the league this season, after he recovered from the ankle injury he picked up against Chelsea in pre-season.

Arsenal have won five of those, and drawn two.

Since his arrival at Arsenal, injuries have limited Partey to just 31 Premier League appearances.

Of those, Arsenal have only lost eight.

Of the 13 they’ve played without Partey since he signed, Arsenal have lost 7.

In other words, when Partey plays, Arsenal only lose 26% of the time but when he’s missing, it’s 54% of games.

Now, we just have to work out how to keep him fit…
