FA Women’s National League leaders Newcastle United and Portsmouth both recorded impressive away wins in their respective title chases.

NORTHERN PREMIER DIVISION

Burnley 0-3 Newcastle United Derby County 3-1 Huddersfield Town (Att: 565) Halifax 2-1 West Bromwich Albion (Att: 78) Liverpool Feds 2-1 AFC Fylde (Att: 132) Stoke City 4-1 Stourbridge

Newcastle extended their lead to seven points with victory at third-placed Burnley, scoring three times in the last 25 minutes. Liverpool Feds edged winless Fylde 2-1, Derby beat Huddersfield to go fifth, Stoke City sank Stourbridge to leapfrog them into seventh, likewise Halifax going ninth when defeating West Brom with Lucy Sowerby’s 90th-minute goal.

SOUTHERN PREMIER DIVISION

Billericay Town 1-1 Milton Keynes Dons (Att: 187) Cheltenham Town 2-2 Ipswich Town (Att: 232) London Bees 0-3 Hashtag United (Att: 66) Oxford United 1-5 Portsmouth (Att: 311) Plymouth Argyle 2-4 Rugby Borough (Att: 172) Chatham Town 0-2 Cardiff City LFC

Portsmouth put five past Oxford United, Hashtag United also won away to stay within three points of the leaders. Rugby Borough scored four first-half goals during their win at Plymouth that pushed them into third place, Cheltenham held Ipswich, Billericay also drew with MK Dons, Cardiff City Ladies climbed to seventh when taking the points at Chatham.

DIVISION 1 MIDLANDS

Boldmere St Michaels 2-0 Lincoln City (Att: 50) Leafield Athletic P-P Notts County Peterborough United P-P Leek Town Sheffield FC P-P Northampton Town Sporting Khalsa 1-3 Loughborough Lightning (Att: 120) Sutton Coldfield Town 2-0 Solihull Moors (Att: 62)

Loughborough Lightning won away at fourth-placed Sporting Khalsa to stay top on goal-difference from Boldmere, who saw off Lincoln City. Sutton Coldfield beat Solihull to take sixth position from them.

DIVISION 1 NORTH

Doncaster Rovers Belles 3-0 Norton & Stockton Ancients (Att: 136) FC United of Manchester 1-4 Durham Cestria (Att: 165) Hull City P-P Stockport County Leeds United P-P Chorley Middlesbrough 3-3 Barnsley WFC (Att: 213) York City P-P Chester le Street Town

The top of the table clash ended two apiece, Middlesbrough therefore staying three points ahead of Barnsley WFC but from two games more. Durham Cestria moved level on points with third-placed Hull City – albeit having played two more matches – following a 4-1 result at FC United. Mid-table Doncaster Rovers Belles defeated Norton.

DIVISION 1 SOUTH EAST

AFC Sudbury 2-4 London Seaward (Att: 85) Actonians 1-5 Cambridge United Cambridge City P-P Ashford Town Chesham United 0-4 AFC Wimbledon (Att: 65) Haywards Heath Town P-P Norwich City Worthing 1-1 Queens Park Rangers

AFC Wimbledon lead the table by six points from Norwich City after winning at Chesham but the Canaries have two games to make up on them. Third tied with fourth as Worthing hosted QPR, five-goal Cambridge United went fifth, London Seaward won at AFC Sudbury.

DIVISION 1 SOUTH WEST

AFC Bournemouth P-P Torquay United Abingdon United 3-0 Southampton Women (Att: 73) Maidenhead United 2-1 Bridgwater United (Att: 53) Moneyfields 1-4 Exeter City Selsey 0-5 Keynsham Town

Exeter City won 4-1 at fourth-in-the-table Moneyfields to open up a nine-point lead over AFC Bournemouth, who have three games in hand. Abingdon United’s victory lifted them above Moneyfields, with whom Keynsham Town went level on points. Maidenhead gained ground on Bridgwater whom they defeated 2-1.
