Chelsea’s transfer business is all a bit up in the air still right now.

We are hearing about all the targets that they are looking at, and players they’ve been pursuing, but nothing at the moment seems to be coming to a head or moving.

Ousmane Dembele has always been talked about as one of Chelsea’s main attacking targets this summer, but that pursuit might soon be over as this one reaches boiling point.

According to the reliable transfer insider Ben Jacobs, Barcelona sources are telling him right now that they are confident Dembele will sign a new contract at the club.

It’s not over yet, but it does seem like this one has swayed in the opposite direction to Chelsea and he will stay at the club.

However, it might impact another transfer target for Chelsea, Raphinha, as Jacobs explains further below. Barcelona wanted the winger, but if Dembele ends up staying, they may no longer need Raphinha, and he could end up choosing Chelsea as a result.
