Images of the new Tottenham Hotspur ‘elite’ home kit leaked online

Thanks to Footy Headlines (h/t Football.london), Tottenham Hotspur fans have been given a sneak peek at the new home kit that the players will unveil next week. The jersey in question is the ‘elite’ version of the 2021/22 Nike home jersey.

It was announced earlier that the players will don the new kit in our final home game of the season. Tottenham takes on Aston Villa in their final home game of the season on May 19. It is our penultimate match of the current Premier League season.

The leaked images showcase a somewhat simple design with navy logos and the red AIA sponsor emblazoned on the plain white shirt. The top also has a reference to the past with the V-neck collar. Inside it is the club’s first-ever badge to mark 100 years since it was first worn by our players.

Spurs have also confirmed that the new home top does pay homage to the original cockerel design. We are also expected to swap the white socks in favour of navy blue ones for next season. The report goes on to add that the away kit in the works will be a black one. It will feature the venom green palette and will be out in July.

A fresh idea?

Interestingly, we already have an indication of what to expect going into the 2022/23 season. The Spurs home shirt in question will feature a round neck and boast a navy trim with a “Volt” yellow running through its centre. The insides of the collar will contain the word ‘Spurs’ written numerous times in different forms.

The away jersey for 2022/23 is the most interesting of the lot and sports a few surprises.

It is predominantly blue with dark navy sleeves and a white logo, with a bright ‘Volt’ yellow collar front. The club’s crest and the Nike logo are placed centrally and above each other. Meanwhile, the AIA logo, with the cockerel on top, is just under the collar.

We will however have to be patient in order to know if there is any truth in this.
