(Images): Chelsea player’s heat maps shows key Maresca and Pochettino differences | OneFootball

There has been some images of a Chelsea player’s heat maps shared online this week that has shown some key differences of Mauricio Pochettino’s management and Enzo Maresca’s management.

One of the biggest criticisms Pochettino received during is time as Chelsea head coach was playing centre back Levi Colwill as a left back.

But this season Colwill is playing a more central role, which he is clearly more suited to.

Heat maps says it all

As you can see from the heat maps above, Colwill was heavily based on the left side last season under Pochettino, yet this season he has played much more centrally.

Maresca’s setup is a bit different to Pochettino’s as well, and for me, Colwill just fits better playing as a centre back and I am always going to be all for playing players in their best positions.

Let’s hope this continues now.
