Reece James has played as number 24 for Chelsea in his career so far, but this summer’s departures are clearly leading to some major changes in the squad numbering.
New promotional material at Stamford Bridge revealed that James will now be number 14, with Trevoh Chalobah possibly moving to Antonio Rudiger’s former number 2.

We would quite like Reece as a 2, but on the other hand 14 is more symbolic for his attacking, wing-back positioning.
Anyway, in the end it’s only a shirt number, who really cares? We’re just excited to see him back on the pitch.
