A key Chelsea player has actually been spotted back on the grass, in boots, and in full training kit despite some negative injury updates going around about him yesterday.

A report from The Sun yesterday claims that Reece James has suffered a delay to his long-anticipated return for Chelsea. The defender’s latest hamstring injury has not healed as well as expected, they report.

Insiders at Chelsea apparently told The Sun there has been no setback or fresh, new injury to the affected muscle. Simply that the area concerned has not recovered as quickly as they would like. They are also adamant James will not be rushed back.

It looks like James has actually been out on the pitches yesterday though, as seen above, which is a very good sign for his recovery.

You’d imagine it shouldn’t be too much longer before he joins in training.
